Two dermatologists have shared their best teen and tween skincare advice for parents - and it's much more simple than you may think.
The advice was shared by Arizona-based dermatologist Dr. Brooke Jeffy and pediatrician Dr. Lisa Klein, who is based in Michigan.
Dr. Klein is also the founder of Turning Tween, a resource for parents and their children who are going through puberty.
The two have come together to share a Q+A series that will answer questions about teen and tween skincare and health.
In their latest clip, which was shared on TikTok, they offered some tips for parents about how to approach tween skincare - a topic that's gotten plenty of attention in recent months.

Many tweens are now going wild for brightly-colored skincare products from brands like Drunk Elephant and Bubble Skincare, using sometimes highly-potent products all over their faces.
They have also been taking trips to Sephora to play around with the products, creating tons of different concoctions as they're being dubbed as the 'Sephora teens' earlier in the year.
Some even share their skincare routines on TikTok, like Kourtney Kardashian's 12-year-old daughter, Penelope Disick.
The reality star's daughter documented a 10-step makeup tutorial that totaled nearly $500 last fall, and included products from popular brands like Dior and Charlotte Tilbury.
But according to Dr. Jeffy, teens and tweens don't need too much on their skin at all.
'I would say the best advice I can give a parent when they're thinking about tween and teen skincare would be to think of their child's skin as more like that of a baby than like theirs,' Dr. Jeffy said in the Q+A clip.
'I think that provides some good guidance in terms of choosing products,' she continued.
The dermatologist furthered that you wouldn't want to put harsh, aggressive products on a baby - so why would you want the same for your tween?

Many tweens are now going wild for brightly-colored skincare products from brands like Drunk Elephant and Bubble Skincare, using sometimes highly-potent products all over their faces - but that's not necessary, according to the doctors
'For a baby, you would really want to be focusing on fragrance-free products and sun protection, and that's what you really need to focus on for kids with healthy skin,' she explained.
Pediatrician Dr. Klein agreed, offering the audience two easy tips to keep in mind for tween skincare.
'Two tips that we like to say, whether it's in my office or at Turning Teen is keep your skin clean and wear your sunscreen,' Dr. Klein said simply.
Their advice comes after a new report that some sleepaway camps had even gone so far as to ban luxury skincare products at their facilities this summer.
At Somerset Camp for Girls in Maine, all Sephora products are strictly forbidden, while Camp Mataponi in Maine and Pennsylvania's Tyler Hill camp both sent letters out that strongly discouraged campers from packing their beauty products.
In January, Drunk Elephant's founder Tiffany Masterson spoke to Ad Age about the popularity of their products with Gen Alpha, explaining that she believes social media could be partly to blame.
Matterson also maintained that the brand 'does not target children' and noted that they don't gift their products to those influencers who are under 18.
